My name is Nathan Darst; I've lived in Corpus Christi, Texas for just under 20 years, and currently attend Texas A&M University Corpus Christi as a Music major. I play flute and piccolo (no, for the thousandth time, NOT the Dragon Ball character, I'm talking about the instrument), performing with the University Symphonic Winds during the school year, and the Corpus Christi Municipal Band during the summer. I'm fairly certain that I'd like to pursue a career in music education, but haven't entirely decided what I'll do after I graduate; best guess is a 4 - 6 year enlistment in either the Navy or Air Force, but again, I don't know yet where the road will take me.

Most people who know me would quite accurately describe me as "that one smart person," you know, the one who's kind of strange and irritating, is too concerned about their grades, seems to have an endless repository of useless information, and definitely spends way too much time in front of a computer. My sense of humor is also mostly rooted in sarcasm, which doesn't help my case at all. I particularly enjoy mathematics and science related topics, and often partake in reading and learning about the research and developments in said fields. In my free time, I enjoy recreational shooting, specifically target rifle and informal trap shooting (pistols are not my thing), I play a pretty wide variety of video games (seriously, too many to list), and once in a blue moon I'll spend an evening fishing the Gulf Coast.

I like learning new and useful things, and as such, this blog will be primarily dedicated to research and studies. Have fun... or don't.
I can't tell you what to do. Make your own decisions.
Welcome,
